When advice doesn't work and it's bringing you down
It takes perseverance to make it through
When the backstabbers dragged my name through the dirt
My memory is vivid
When the grapevine is gospel and cutting throats is key
Every day is a struggle and the struggle is real
It lingers in the air
It's the cause and effect that makes you want to die
From the bottom of my heart I thank my friends
For teaching me to live again
This is how I fall, but I'm glad I was caught
So please, invest in those who need something to go on
And you might save a life
